Recognized for his expertise in areas such as Incan textile traditions and contemporary Peruvian weaving, in 2002 Joseph Fabish lectured on "The Origin and Evolution of Design in Huamachuco Blankets" at the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Institute of Andean Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
